1. What do we learn about Tuareg culture from this video?

A/: Well, I´m not pretty sure but I assume that his culture is willing to preserve the rituals, traditions and beliefs that they ancestors had. And, I connected the music with the rituals that as I see could express feelings, beliefs and could even have a religious part. 

2. How does seeing the visuals within the video and knowing the meaning of the lyrics give us a deeper understanding of Tuareg culture? 

A/: Thinking in the same context that the previous question, I personally consider that the lyric of the song and the visual part of the video, could connect us to one of the possible rituals (Like it could be preparing tea) and show us how every part of it is meaningful to the culture, both the music and the order. 

What I did in Carnivals.

Well, my carnivals were pretty amazing! I had such a good time, I went out almost everyday with my boyfriend and our friends. 
On Saturday morning, I was at “Batalla de Flores” with my sister and mi niece, and at “Festival de la  cerveza” at night, the “Festival de la cerveza” was full of people, so at the beginning it was quite of exhausting but in the end it all worth it because we could hear great music and have some dance! 

The next day (Sunday), I was at “Hotel del Prado” in something like a concert, and it also was excellent, my friends and I had the best time that day, we have so much fun.

The day after that (Monday), I took it to have some relaxing time and I went on a Pool day.

Finally, on Tuesday I got sick, so I had to stay in my place, watching movies and eating junk food… Which, turns out awesome for me. 

Barranquilla- Cultural Capital Of 2013

1.    Why was Barranquilla chosen?

Barranquilla was chosen as the Cultural Capital of 2013, because Xavier Tudela, the president of "Bureau Internacional de Capitales Culturales", was in shock with his visit to the city, because according of what he said, the city has an amazing interest in culture but overall has positivism and shows a lot of international projection (As all of us know, we can see this projection in events like the Carnaval and many others festivities that make people of differents countries come to visit our city).

2.    Will Barranquilla receive any of the economic benefits Liverpool hoped to from being named a cultural capital?

No, but Barranquilla will recive  a huge promotion on international medias through different types of chanels that Bereau has connections with, chanels like "Discovery Networks" y "Antena 3 from Spain", because of that promotion the city could recieve many others benefits, including monetary benefits.

Socio-Political Issues in Egypt

In 2011 took place in Egypt a campaign of non- violent civil resistance against the dictatorship imposed by Hosni Mubarak. 

The protesters were fighting about political and legal issues, like police brutality, lack of freedom to speak and to vote. 
Even when the revolution was peaceful, there were some physical fights between public forces and people that were protesting, according to my search there were at least 846 people died and over 6.000 injured. 
This protest took place in Alexandria, specifically in Cairo and in a few other cities of Egypt. 
Since Mubarak`s dictatorship falls remain many right issues, like the treatment of minorities. 
Later in June of 2012, Mohammad Morsi was elected as the new president of Egypt, he`s a member of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Well, what can I say about me?My name is Sharon Morales Serrano (I don´t like my middle name so... I´m not going to tell you).I´m 18 years old and I´m studying Psychology in 5th semester.I´m from Venezuela but I lived here in Colombia since I was like 10 years old.I really love reading and, I love my family and my dog... Specially, my little niece and my little nephew.I eat... A lottt!!!! And I prefer Mexican and Italian food... And, obviously, I love candies! I enjoy to go out, listen to music, watch movies and I really like to dance. Ahmmm... I don´t know what else to say so...This is me. :)
