In 2011 took place in Egypt a campaign of non- violent civil resistance against the dictatorship imposed by Hosni Mubarak.
The protesters were fighting about political and legal issues, like police brutality, lack of freedom to speak and to vote.Even when the revolution was peaceful, there were some physical fights between public forces and people that were protesting, according to my search there were at least 846 people died and over 6.000 injured.
This protest took place in Alexandria, specifically in Cairo and in a few other cities of Egypt.
Since Mubarak`s dictatorship falls remain many right issues, like the treatment of minorities.
Later in June of 2012, Mohammad Morsi was elected as the new president of Egypt, he`s a member of the Muslim Brotherhood.
